I also think that as a character she didn’t really change within the series and that’s a great thing because to me it shows that the writer knew that Misaki was perfect the way she was and that changing due to love was not something she as a independent woman would do. However the last chapter definitely renewed my love for the series as it first of all answered a lot of questions that I believed were always going to be left unanswered and also it had a good ending in general (HUZZAH!).Ĭharacter wise I have to make a comment about Misaki, she has to be one of the most independent shoujo heroines I have come across to date and that’s what made her and Usui’s relationship so addictive to me as a reader as it just so uncommon. In my opinion the manga got a little repetitive and stale especially the last few chapters which sadly marred my opinion of the series a bit. I loved the series (don’t get me wrong it was very amusing) but I do think that it is a tad over rated online because most fans of the series only watched the anime and didn’t follow though with the manga chapters that continued the series. Maid-Sama! is one of the most highly praised shoujo titles of the last few years – It often makes its way into the top 5 of most romance loving Otaku’s recommendations. But what will she do when the sexiest boy in school finds out that after school, Misaki works in a maid cafe.
